Newly discovered asteroid, no TV channels aware of it.
Its 9th of February and still, most of the channels focus on the Sania Mirza saga but missed on some of the exciting events that happened yesterday night (early hours of friday). A newly discovered asteroid, 2010 GA6, will flew by Earth this Thursday at 23:06 U.T.C. i.e. Friday, 9 April 2010, 04:36:00 a.m. IST. How every, none of the TV channels bothered to educate people about this wonderful rare event that may never happen in our life time. Apart from gossips, these days we hardly find any meaningful and useful programs on Television. Thanks to the simulation video by the Planetary Society of India, this occurrence at least has reached some and hopefully will reach many in the near future.
Here are some of the factoids and details about the asteroid that flew by yesterday:

Why do we feel sleepy after a healthy diet?

It is often a common scene that we tend to see number of people feeling drowsy after taking their meal. This may lead to embarrassment while at work or when we are with company. This can be attributed to the low intake of PROTEIN food and the high ingestion of CARBO ( Carbohydrate) food. Also the primary reason behind this is that after a large meal, more blood is averted to the intestines to help the digestion of food. This means, that less oxygen and nourishment reaches the brain which can lead to sleepiness and make you lethargic.
Also another reason is “alkaline tide” that it is commonly referred as. When acid is released by stomach to digest food, it leads to a temporary alteration of the blood pH content. To compensate this change in the, Bicarbonate is released which causes blood to be more alkaline and hence leading to drowsiness. Sometimes after a meal (that contains heavy carbohydrate content), the neurotransmitter levels change in the brain which may also lead to sluggishness.

Although the numbers are increasing, consumers are still not using their credit cards on the Internet nearly as much as e-tailers (electronic retailers) would like. That’s why many cyber-merchants continue to offer a toll-free order number so that shoppers have the choice of calling their order in. Cyber-shopping may be convenient — and some people do all of their shopping online — but credit-card fraud is always a threat, both on the Internet and out in the real world. Hackers have found ways to steal credit-card numbers from Web sites.
There are a lot of simple steps you can take to protect yourself and your credit card — starting with making sure you sign it as soon as it arrives in the mail.

Tigers: Once Upon A Time in India?
I am writing this small article in support of “save our tigers” campaign being aired on television. It is a matter of dishonor for our nation that just 1411 tigers are left while the population of India is ever increasing with the risk of even surmounting the Chinese figures. There was a time when hunting and killing wild animals was considered heroic and was limited to the royal blood. However, we are in an era when except the human count, none of the other species have flourished on the planet with exceptions of those animals which we prey on. Saving tigers is a challenge not just for the government but for any and every Indian, moreover, it’s our responsibility. It will be a disgrace if our national animal would be wiped out from the earth. Nevertheless, it is not too late to pull up the socks and try every bit from our end to save the wild beast from extinction and keep India’s head high. It is our responsibility to educate the villagers and forest dwellers to stop hunting the tigers and help the government with its initiatives in increasing their headcount. We need to draw inspiration from other nations in saving species under extinction, like the Chinese who are putting in their heart and soul in saving the Pandas. There have been several species that have been wiped out from the earth due to numerous reasons, however, with so much technology around us and media spreading its eyes to every nook and corner of the planet, it should not be an impossible task, though a daunting one ahead. With just 1411 left, let’s leave no stone unturned and contribute in every possible way. Hope that at least our generation should not see a day when we may have to tell our children or grandchildren that ” Tigers existed once upon a time in India”. Lets stop using garments made of animal skin!!!

Tigers: Once Upon A Time in India?Exams Time: The scariest part of the year.
In cities like those with the climate similar to Hyderabad, one can feel the mercury rising right from the end of February. March being the exam season, it is very important to follow certain steps to help our children maintain good stamina and to help them excel in their examinations. It has been observed off late that exam season is far scorching and panic season than the rest of the months in India. This is the time when students of all curricula try to burn midnight oil and exhaust their entire adrenaline with only one motive; to do extremely well in their assessments. It is rather a testing time for parents as well to supply the required potion of encouragement and support to their offspring to standout in the ever increasing competition. However times have drastically changed and it is very important to stick to few ground rules both pertaining to health and principles to help our kids sketch a proper routine.
Be it the kids in school or the juvenile, adolescent youth who are seeking and testing their fate, destiny or whatsoever through the ever-competitive competitive exams, everybody needs to follow a proper time-table while preparing for exams. Practicality is different from movies; hence say NO to last minute preparation. Be it Cricket or Studies, it is always better to maintain consistency than a one-time century. Parents are advised to sacrifice some of their pleasures when it comes to their child’s career, after all, is it not our ultimate aim to see our children pass the litmus test and come out with flying colors? It’s always better to prepare with a proper mindset and as it has been a belief since ages, it’s always a good practice to start studying early in the morning and to take small breaks in regular intervals. One need not be reminded the golden phrase “early to bed and early to rise”. Also it is better to avoid any functions or ceremonies which may distract children from their daily routine. Sometimes it may be allowed but try to guide your children not to get addicted to social networking sites and their online access and usage at least during the examination season.

Diabetes is one ailment that is being treated with great concern all over the world, especially in India. It is one of the diseases that has effected maximum people from across all nations. The astonishing fact is that the disease has become” age no bar” syndrome with people of all ages (even infants and women effected during delivery) falling prey to diabetes mellitus. The evil effect of the disease is causing panic in societies like India which is slowly turning into an ideal playground for the disease to widespread. The United Nations observes November 14th as the World Diabetes day and is taking some stern actions to regulate the extensive spread of the disease. Also, from an individual perspective it leaves very restricted food routines which may force us to live on insipid foods with a reduction in Glucose (Carbohydrate) content. Also studies have revealed that diabetes can be the gateway to several new diseases like those related to heart and kidney. Jeopardizing your physical health may also lead to emotional and psychological hap hazards.

Writing SEO that Flows
A great writer uses words to paint the perfect picture. Masters of the written word spend hours pouring out their heart and soul into prose that sings to the reader. SEO came along and the pretty pictures all became stick drawings. The good news for the writer/artist is that SEO can flow if you learn to use it the right way.

Google this: Reasons to switch to Bing
Bing (formerly Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search) is the current web search engine (advertised as a “decision engine”) from Microsoft. Bing was unveiled by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on May 28, 2009 at the All Things Digital conference in San Diego.
So far I have been fairly impressed with Bing. Results are fairly relevant and in particular, I like all the new features added. It seems Microsoft is pushing the envelope a little and becoming quite innovative.
